One perk to journaling is how accessible it is. Not necessarily does it require a journal, but writing in one often helps track progress over time. Consider a timeframe out of the day to journal. What time of day works best? It is up to you.
Certain questions you may ask yourself:

Who can I show gratitude towards today?
What are three positives from today?
What could I have done better?
Was there a situation I could have handled more appropriately? If so, how?
Journaling can be therapeutic and reduce the stresses of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other mental health disorders.
Positive reinforcement can be manifested through journaling. Telling yourself the positives is great for the soul. Express emotions that bring joy and gratitude into your life.
All in all, journaling can be utilized to write about anything. Making it a habit is the hardest part. Have discipline and grant yourself 5-10 minutes out of the day to journal :)
